My engineering background is more of an inhibitor than I even thought it would be. ;o) Very conscious now of the logical / physical observations on first Assessment. Its clear I'm going to have to learn a whole new vocabulary too. I have finished reading 'the photograph as contemporary art' by Charlotte Cotton and remember little of its contents. Reading some of its contents reminded me of a Monty Python sketch.... "What opponent of cartesian dualism resists the reduction of a phsycological phenomenon to a physical state, yet insists there is no point of contact between the extended and the unextended". For all I know, that's not gobbledegook. If you have the knowledge it might well makes sense.
I have bought a dictionary of art terms in the hope that it might help. Making a start on 'Photography - a critical introduction' by Liz Wells. Lets see
